About
Born James Lauder Marsden in the UK, and raised in Vancouver Canada, where early on watching, exploring, and creating comprised a large part of my daily life. Primarily a self-taught artist with a background in education and design, I've been fortunate to work with some very talented and inspiring people.

My work explores themes of identity and perception within the context of global media. How it transforms us and in turn how we can transform it.

Blurring the line between grotesque and beautiful, I'm intrigued by surface presentation of things (people, objects, ideas) and how those surfaces can hide often contrasting and complex realities.
